House Slabs in Perth
A house is only as good as the slab under it. We pour house slabs and footings for owner builders and contractors across Perth, metro and surroundings. Level, measured and finished so the frame, tilers and flooring trades can get straight to work.
How we build your house slab
Most house slabs take 2-3 days on site, from formwork through to pour and finish. Here’s what happens, step by step.
-
We start by setting out the slab from your plans: measuring wall positions, checking levels and running string lines so everything sits exactly where it should. Then the formwork goes up.
-
Place the timber or fibreglass boards around the house perimeters. Now it is ready for the digger.
-
Once the footing is dug, the plumber does the pre-lay plumbing and the termite spray gets done, then we pour the footings to your engineering plans.
-
The next day, the plastic membrane goes down, followed by the mesh, bar chairs and reinforcement, so the steel sits at the right height inside the slab.
-
We pour the slab and finish it smooth and level, ready for the trades that follow.
-
Once the slab has set, we strip the formwork boards, wash down the boards and tools, and leave the site tidy.
Built for Perth heat
Perth summers are hard on fresh concrete. Heat and wind make a slab go off faster, and that’s when finishes suffer and cracks start. That’s why we book the concrete for the earliest possible delivery and pour first thing in the morning to beat the sun. If the weather isn’t right on the day, we’d rather wait than compromise your slab.
